19-year old Nigerian center Israel Otobo (200-C-2004) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Dynamo BBC and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Cape Town T. (#4, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 86-73. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Dynamo was forced-out from the top positions in Basketball Africa League. Dynamo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. Otobo turned to be Dynamo's top player in his first season with the team. Otobo has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.0ppg) and averages solid 4.0spg and 56.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Bryton Hobbs (183-G-1991, agency: The French Family Consulting). He is American guard in his first season at Dynamo. In the last game Hobbs recorded an impressive 20 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course together with Otobo he helped Dynamo BBC with another comfortable win 86-73 over Cape Town T. (0-2) being unquestionably team leader. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Hobbs is a newcomer at Dynamo and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#4). He also recorded 8.0 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Samkelo Cele (198-G-1997) of Cape Town Tigers (#4). Cele scored 26 points. Despite Cele's great performance the Tigers lost 73-86 to #2 ranked Dynamo. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Cele has individually a great season in Basketball Africa League. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.5ppg (best scorer).
